Learning to code can feel pretty lonely, especially if you don’t feel represented You get stuck, Google for an hour, wonder if everyone else understands something you don't, and eventually question whether you're even cut out for it. Code Y'all is here to change that. We hope to build a safe space for each of our participants, a place where you can be yourself.

You'll learn alongside like minded people with similar goals, struggles and values — people who understand what you're going through because they're going through it too. Ask questions, share what you've figured out, help someone else get unstuck, and celebrate the tiny things that finally click. When one of us moves forward, we all do.

Learning something new, especially if it is going to lead to changing your career, is daunting. You’re scared of making the right decision, not being able to make it, maybe all of that is not worth it…? This is where your community comes in. Someone who’s in the same boat. Someone to complain with over coffee. Someone who will say ‘you’re doing great’. Someone who struggles with something you find easy. Someone you can comfortably teach you the part that you struggle with. Someone to check up on your progress. Community is often small actions, huge impact.
